📽️ Enhanced Product Invoicing - Video and FAQs

This video covers Enhanced Product Invoicing.

Previously, if you billed a Client for a Product then your only option was to print the Product on your invoice. With Enhanced Product Invoicing, we're giving you the ability to choose whether a given Product is printed on the invoice without affecting your ability to bill for the Product.
We've added an additional setting for Products on the estimate, job, visit, and invoice levels. If you check the Print on invoice? setting, then the Product will be hidden from the invoice and the Product amount will be included in the associated Service's rate.

Important: You cannot hide a product that isn't associated with a Service. This means the Product must be directly beneath an associated Service on the Invoice.

Enhanced Product Invoicing FAQs

What is it?
This feature is an additional setting for Products on the estimate, job, visit, and invoice levels. The new setting is labeled Print on invoice? and can be toggled independently of the Invoice? setting, which controls whether you’re billing for the Product.
Why do I still see a hidden Product on my invoice in Service Autopilot?
You'll see the Product on the invoice editor in Service Autopilot. Your customers will not see the Product on the invoice PDF or invoice grid, however.
Do I have to enable this feature to see it?
No, you will not have to enable this feature to see and use it.
Where is it?
This feature will be found under the Product settings when adding a Product to an estimate, job, visit, or invoice.
Is there a global setting?
A global setting doesn't currently exist for this feature, but we do plan on adding it in the future.
What will happen to my estimates, jobs, visits, and invoices that already have Products on them?
Products on previously existing estimates, jobs, visits, and invoices will have the Print on invoice? setting enabled. This means that if you're invoicing for a Product, the Product will print on the invoice unless the setting is manually toggled off.
Why do I not have this setting on the mobile app?
This setting is not currently available on the mobile app, but we do plan on adding it in the future.
